About Us
We put this Extreme Cardio Challenge event together for some fun competition, purposely trying to NOT advantage the strong weight lifter type NOR the cardio-machine type. That means it will require a combination of core strength and a strong cardio system. There are currently 7 events and each is meant to be completed in two minutes or less. None of the events are difficult, until you add the competitive nature of the participants. An example is the 12lb. Medicine Ball Thrust. Throwing a 12lb. ball over a goal post is not hard, until you have a competitor standing beside you who is trying to throw it over more times than you in a 1 minute or 2 minute time segment. The ball seems to get heavier and heavier with each throw, and the heart rate will soon be at max.

Buzz Gardner
Buzz Gardner is a successful business leader, entrepreneur and competitive cyclist who took early retirement from corporate America to tackle social and health issues that are growing each year. Some of the issues that can be lessened with consistent exercise are obesity, ADHD, Diabetes, certain forms of cancer, Alzheimers disease and self image issues. We are an avid supporter of PE4LIFE and other groups focusing on "Lifetime Fitness." Buzz also founded VCycling whose goal is to reduce Child Obesity, ADHD, Juvenille Diabetes and other Adult and Senior related diseases like Alzheimer's Disease.
Buzz took his first year of retirement to train and compete in the Senior Nationals in St. George Utah where he won 2 Golds, a Silver and a Bronze medal in the four cycling events.

Just as a farmer is expected to work his fields to produce the best crops possible, we believe we are to work our bodies to stay in top shape. Our theme Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20, "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price." Therefore, honor God with your body!
